Something about the sun and the moon fascinate me. They seem almost to me like fiction! Drawing the sun takes a very long time but the process really calms me.
Night does not really frighten me, it is more the uncertainty that comes with darkness. This drawing I had in my mind for a very long time. I will probably redraw it in the future.
Statues and sculptures have always interested me. It is my dream to one day take a class where they teach one to make busts. I think it is the best type of immortality.
Where I live there are no fields or expanses, only tall buildings and loud noises. I always dream of pastoral imagery and am drawn to visions of mountain ranges and valleys.
Done in my Moleskine with watercolours. I have a great deal of respect for those who know how to combine colours. Even though I will probably never use colour in my drawings, I still think it is a skill I'd like to acquire / practice.
Worked through an art block by drawing things I saw on my desk and sky textures. Often the small and mundane can become a sort of treasure or token. Things collected are things with a story, no?
